Can Black Holes Produce Galaxies?

Question:

I was reading about how black holes and how they have many smaller bursts that happen. could a supermassive blackhole have created galaxies with these bursts and when this super massive blackhole dies, it implodes and sucks back all of the galaxies it made the repreting the cycle?

Answer:

The bursts observed from black holes tend to be due to energy emitted during an accretion event, where the black hole gobbles up a chunk of matter which is turned into energy in the strong gravitational field of the black hole.  These chunks of matter are not nearly as large or massive as galaxies.
