University of Virginia Nau Hall

Nau Hall, South Lawn Building, serves as the history building for the College and Graduate School of Arts & Sciences and houses classrooms, student lounges, computer labs, administrative offices, conference rooms and faculty/student meeting rooms.

Named for John L. Nau III (College ’68), president and CEO of Silver Eagle Distributors, the nation’s largest distributor of Anheuser Busch products and past president of the College Foundation.

After 5 PM, there is plenty of free parking behind Nau Hall. Access to the parking lot is on Brandon Avenue.

Walking Directions:

Head down Edgemont Road to McCormick.  Follow McCormick to the Emmet Street overpass and go down the stairs on your right to JPA. Follow JPA to Nau Hall. The auditorium is on the bottom level of the building towards the back.  Signs will be posted outside of Nau Hall and inside the building toward the lecture hall.

Driving Directions:

Go out Edgemont Road to McCormick and turn left. Turn right onto Alderman, then left onto Stadium (or cut through on Whitehead, then left on Stadium). Turn right onto Jefferson Park Avenue (JPA) and just past Nau Hall, turn right onto Brandon Avenue. The parking lots will be on your right.
