A Question About a Career in Astronomy

-- A | June 23, 2021

Question:

Hello, I’m 16 years old, and I have been interested in astronomy since I was 10.
As I’m from Sri Lanka, a country which lacks space research and institutes, the only option for me to study in a foreign country, but it’s extremely expensive, and therefore, I can only get a B.Sc and a Master’s degree. I’ve decided to get a doctorate once I’m financially stable, so my question is,
Is doing a Master’s in astrophysics worth it if I’m not planning to get a doctorate?
If not, any suggestions on what I can do?
