How is Flux Calibration Done at Radio Wavelengths?

-- | October 16, 2016

Question: I want to know strategy for flux calibrator please help me how to do it if I have a given DATA.  — Jagriti

Answer: Flux calibration for radio astronomical measurements is normally done by observing an astronomical source of known or predictable flux along with the measurements of the target source of interest.  The flux calibrator chosen depends upon what frequency you are observing at, and can include quasars, planets, or asteroids.
