Is There a Preferred Direction of Rotation for Objects in the Universe?

Question: I would think that rotation direction of astro objects, Galaxies, Planets around sun, etc would average out between clockwise and counter clockwise. Is this what we see or does the Universe prefer one over the other and if so do we know why? Thanks. — Brad

Answer: Your first suspicion is correct. There is no preferred direction of rotation for objects in the universe, and on average there are just as many counter-clockwise as clockwise rotating objects.
