Place on Earth that Receives Direct Sunlight

Question:

At every moment, there’s a place on earth receiving direct sunlight (if you were to draw a straight line from the center of the sun to the center of the earth).

Is there a name for that place on earth receiving the most direct sunlight?

Is there an app or something that always lists the precise location at that time?

Answer:

At any given time it is the Earth’s equator that receives the most sunlight throughout the year. Hopefully I have understood your question correctly.

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory is a facility of the U.S. National Science Foundation operated under cooperative agreement by Associated Universities, Inc.
